The advance party was at Punta Fuego as early as 7:00am while the rest of the EMMC team left the PICPA MMR office at 6:30am and arrived at the resort just before lunchtime.

The planning session was kicked-off by a Transition Meeting led by outgoing EMMC President Marivic Españo and Opening Remarks by incoming EMMC President Rommel Agasang. These set the tone for the activities for the entire weekend.

After a sumptuous lunch at the San Diego Restaurant, break-out sessions were held in the afternoon for each committee to map out its plans for the year under the leadership of Mai Bisnar for the Professional Development committee, Dennis Tatunay for the Membership committee, and Persie Torregoza for the External Affairs committee.

To enhance camaraderie within EMMC, team-building activities were conducted after the break-out sessions. The EMMC team was divided into four groups. Each group was tasked to take creative photographs of five crazy situations. The winners were announced during the Pajama party / fellowship night on the evening of June 10, 2011. After a highly competitive “Name That Tune” competition, the team sang the night away amid free-flowing beer before calling it a day.

Day 2 started with some chill time at the amazing infinity pool and awesome view of the South China Sea…perfect setting for gigabytes of photographs!! After breakfast, the results of the previous day’s break-out session were presented and discussed amid the presence and guidance of the Board of Advisers, led by Marivic Españo, Gerry Sanvictores, Henry Tan, Malou Villacorta, Noemi Villaruz, George Villaruz, and Ot Yu.
