It has been a very interactive discussion

project taught about the proper budgeting
and costing of each kind of product made.
Moreover, at the end of the day, they
got the fruits of their labor by receiving
samples of liquid soap; fabric softener
and perfume samples being made by them.
“Flatter me, and I may not believe
you. Criticize me, and I may not like
you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive
you. Encourage me, and I will not forget
you.” By William Arthur Ward –
As one famous quote teaches us about Encouragement.
Last April 2008, it took a lot of encouragement
for those young boys at a small town of
Malabon to get a step closer to their
manhood. As NMMC aided them achieved thru
its 2nd Medical Mission:
“Operation Tule” which had
been a regular service to kids during
summer time. In coordination with “Pax
Romana” a group of promising MCU
(Manila Central University) doctors and
interns. They had circumcised 120 kids
during that day. Unfortunately, there
were still a number of kids who were hoping
to be serviced that day. With its positive
turnout of the project, the chapter decided
to continue and have another same project
to those left unlucky. While for those
being serviced, they have an addendum
to the above quote, tribute to Sir William
“…….circumcise me, and
I will be forever grateful…”
Fellowship/Tax Campaigns
“Whack it!”
- On February 23, 2008. NMMC with Knights
of Columbus 10291 had a fellowship activity.
It’s a Badminton Tournament, themed:
“Smash to Wreck” held at Family
Badminton Court, Tinejeros, Malabon. Its
purpose is to create a sense of solidarity
and comradeship between two groups and
to have an easy open communication for
any future projects. NMMC played against
KC players with intense exchange of smash
action. A very fruitful moment apprised
on that occasion and the chapter plans
to extend this fellowship activity with
other MMR chapters and different BIR Revenue
District Offices along CAMANAVA area in
the near future.
“Best Supporting
Actor” - Last March 5, 2008. An
annual event called “Tax Caravan
Campaign” conducted by Bureau of
Internal Revenue which annually NMMC is
also invited to join the motorcade. It
reached the final destination and held

City Square. Surprisingly, with all the
years of support to the BIR. NMMC was

and Valenzuela as a manifestation of their
grateful appreciation from the chapter’s

Revenue Region No. 5, Atty. Cesar Charlie
Lim. Since the latter just assume his
office at Valenzuela Region, the group
extends its welcome reception to the Regional
Director. Discussed about matters concerning
tax issues, support to BIR and on his
regime and other projects being laid down
by the bureau.

International Conference
“the love boat”
- One of the much awaited events on MMR’s
activities is the International Conference.
Many members attended this conference
due to its very eccentric and unique conference
location. Last May 17-22, 2008, the 5th
MMR International Conference spearheaded
by its Committee Chair - SMMC President
Mr. Aldrin Cerrado, took its participants
specially NMMC for a cruise from Singapore
to Penang, Malaysia to Phuket, Thailand
and let us experience how did “jack
and rose” wondered the seas. Too
bad much of our loved ones left at our
respective homes back in Manila. NMMC
extends its Congratulations to Mr. Aldrin
Cerrado and his committee members for
a job well done.
With everybody offers
a hand, with everybody opens its heart,
and with everybody reaches someone’s
soul. It makes life more eloquent beyond
imaginable doubt. It has been a wonderful
experience serving people and learning
new things on them and this will be a
part of our lives that we may consider
it extremely proud to others. To the GOD
Almighty, we are greatly gratified on
all His blessings, making us the medium
to serve our fellow beings.
“Make it a habit
to tell people thank you. To express your
appreciation, sincerely and without the
expectation of anything in return. Truly
appreciate those around you and you’lll
soon find many others around you. Truly
appreciate life, and you’ll find
that you have more of it.” By Ralph
Marston.
THANK YOU…..!
